Pregnancy isn’t always easy. The extra emotions, fatigue, morning sickness, and difficulty to find a comfortable position to sleep.
But I want to share this message with all the pregnant moms :
1️⃣You are 1000 x stronger than you think. Period. .
2️⃣Choose to trust your body. No we don’t have full control, but we can control the internal messages we tell ourselves. Repeat after me, “ I am strong. I am supported. My body knows what to do.” 💫
3️⃣Labour is purposeful pain. How you mentally interpret the pain (aka the pain means I get to meet my baby soon vs the pain means something is wrong) makes ALL the difference. ✨
4️⃣Birth is messy. It’s raw. You will reach a point during labour that you may feel totally out of control, questioning if you can do this. You’ll hit a wall. This is normal. You CAN do this. 🙌
5️⃣Birth plans don’t always work out. This is never your fault. Ask for support, ask questions, and trust that everyone is there to help you and your baby. C-section is NEVER a failure. You can and will recover. 👩❤️💋👩 .
6️⃣ B r e a t h e. Practice LAMAZE breathing technique. It id based on the idea that controlled breathing can enhance relaxation and decrease the perception of pain. Some of the important techniques for controlled breathing include:
slow, deep breathing
maintaining a rhythm
breathing through your mouth or nose
keeping your eyes open or closed
focusing on one simple physical item, such as a photograph or your partner.Also, Read Ina May Gaskin books, watch her Ted Talk and surround yourself with positive and empowering birth messages. It’s a marathon for your body AND your mind.
