Feeling Funky.

There are days when I feel funky. Sometimes it happens when I feel the most exhausted (mentally and emotionally), or the times I had been overly socializing and not getting any ME time.

And then there are days when I don’t know know the reason behind it.I don't Iike to ask “why”I ‘m feeling in funk. I simply acknowledge it. I usually take some or all of the following steps to get myself out of it.

  1. I have warm tea/coffee.

  2. I listen to my favorite singer.

  3. I revisit old pictures.

  4. I call an old friend.

  5. I treat myself with my favorite food.

  6. I take nap or sleep little longer.

  7. I watch my favorite movie.

  8. I dance on a peppy track.

  9. I declutter and clean my physical space ( wardrobe, pantry, garage )

  10. I get outside in nature and go for a walk to clarify my thoughts.

  11. I exercise. I push myself to get a minimum 30 minutes of workout as it helps to uplift my mood.

  12. I plan something fun with my family or close friends for the weekend.

  13. I set small goals ( eg - 10k steps everyday, 3 liters of water everyday, writing my gratitude journal every single day )

  14. I update my bucket list.

  15. I take cold ass showers. I started this practice this year beginning after watching the documentary on the Iceman, “The Whim Hof Method”. I still don’t like it but merely doing it because of it’s immense physical and mental benefits.


One thing that I have learned over the years when it comes to stress and anxiety is that you should not wait for it to resolve on its own. You should address it actively by doing things helps you to snap out of it.
